Cybersecurity Conference of the Danish EU Presidency

– On the 27th November 2025

Hosted at Tivoli’s H.C. Andersen Hall in Copenhagen, this one-day conference will convene approximately 250 senior representatives from EU institutions, Member States, and industry. The programme features a ministerial address, high-level panel discussions, flashnotes, fireside chats, and networking opportunities. Key themes will focus on enhancing resilience to cyber threats, strengthening public–private collaboration, ensuring the effective implementation of EU frameworks, advancing trusted and secure technologies, and reinforcing Europe’s digital sovereignty, resilience, and democratic values.

Format

This will be a one-day, in-person conference running from approximately 09:30 to 16:30.

The programme will follow a single-track format, starting with a ministerial welcome by Torsten Schack Pedersen, Danish Minister for Resilience and Preparedness, and moderated by Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, former Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Denmark, and current Deputy Director of the Confederation of Danish Commerce. The day includes high-level panel debates, short “Flashnotes” presentations, a fireside chat, live demonstrations and opportunities for informal networking.

Objective

In an era marked by growing geopolitical competition and digital interdependence, cybersecurity has become one of Europe’s most pressing strategic concerns. From statesponsored attacks to critical infrastructure vulnerabilities, the digital threat landscape is evolving rapidly – and the potential consequences are increasingly far-reaching.

Public-private partnerships are essential for improving the level of cybersecurity in the European Union, and when it comes to cyber crisis management, the private sector plays a pivotal role. Therefore, the Danish Presidency has decided that the overall theme of the conference will be how public-private partnerships can contribute to building a strong European cybersecurity industry and improving technological sovereignty. The conference will seek insights into how Europe – through public-private partnerships – can lead in developing trusted technologies, defending open societies, and building a robust digital infrastructure grounded in democratic principles.

Participants

The conference will gather cyber directors from all EU Member States, senior EU officials, agency executives, regulators, industry leaders from critical sectors (energy, transport, healthcare, and telecoms), academic researchers, and representatives of industry associations. The participant list will be capped at approx. 250 to ensure a high quality, interactive environment.
