Director General, Danish Resilience Agency

About Laila Reenberg

On April 1, 2025, the Ministry of Resilience and Preparedness appointed Laila Reenberg as Director General of the newly established Danish resilience Agency. She has served as Acting Director since the agency’s creation on January 29, 2025, and now continues in the permanent role.

The Danish resilience Agency is tasked with strengthening Denmark’s resilience against threats ranging from extreme weather to sabotage and cyberattacks. The agency assesses risks, advises and informs authorities, businesses, and citizens, and plays a central role in national preparedness planning, supply security, and crisis coordination.

Commenting on her appointment, Laila Reenberg emphasized the importance of collaboration:
“Strengthening Denmark’s resilience is a central task that requires close cooperation with authorities, businesses, and citizens alike. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue this important work together with the talented employees of SAMSIK, and I will do my utmost to ensure we succeed.”
